Collection The birth of a new identity has been born. The earth’s belongings have merged together with the modern being to become a post-human hybrid. Using earth’s raw matters and human characteristics, mutations have formed causing obscure shapes. The new surroundings are dim and desolate as the unidentified hybrids re-familiarise them selves with all the land has to offer. It is about story telling and communicating ideas through look and feel and perception. This modern tactile womenswear collection takes inspiration from raw earth materials and modern human identity. BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design & Development

Highly motivated, self-driven creative designer with great passion for exploring new possibilities in product design and development of footwear. Final Major Project shows Ekaterina's innovation skills, very unique and sustainable method of footwear production, which she has developed during her final year. The technique is based on reusing leather leftovers for making beautifully carved heels. High quality leather footwear is combines with sustainable methods, creates a healthy balance and important element for today’s footwear market. Layers of Possibilities project is a response to the excessive 25% of leather waste produced by bespoke footwear industry each year. The leftover scraps are glued around the heel and then sanded down into beautifully carved heels. Each pair of shoes is unique and the layers very in size, colour, and texture. Ekaterina is forward thinking and risk taking individual, who enjoys the challenges of working on a variety of projects. Having gained invaluable work experience at companies such as John Lobb, Jas MB, Hetty Rose, Club 21-Armani group. I pursue the off-the-rack clothes than splashy avant-garde garments and put stress on the practicality of clothes. My design philosophy is to make modern, chic and futuristic garments. My concept is starting from the theory of a parallel universe. I was always longing to see another version of me in another world. In 2013, an earth in another universe, the western era still exists. Over a long historical period from the “Wild West” era to the present day, the division between the native Indians and Americans has disappeared. Just like individual cultures may harmonize and mix in history, their attire appeared to have mixed without distinction in this different universe. For instance, a person who has cowboy clothes on him might be wearing Indian pants and a person with Indian clothes on him might be wearing cowboy chaps. In this universe, many people are afraid of going out because of gang named ‘PROPER’. I am a sheriff with the purpose of catching a notorious gang of 6. I search out to block them with photographs of the wanted. In order to show these 6 gangsters, that is 6 lineups, I expressed it by including the Indian details on the basis of the silhouette of 1870’s in Western movies. I think that the clothes must give the feeling of the old west and at the same time, masculinity must be magnified in them minimally and futuristically. Brand Image & Design Inspiration The brand’s ultimate target is to combine aesthetic and technology. The current conceptive fashion and interactive technique embedded garment, those most likely have prestigious technology involved, are still in the stage of bulkinesss, modernity and geometric silhouette. Technology has often been linked to Supermodern clothing, which is defined by ‘contemporary urban metropolis, responding physical and psychology demands of traditional spaces where modern life take place.’ (Bolton, 2002 p.7) In other words, most technological fashion products are structural and architectural inspired. However, there has yet to be a brand that merged technology with classic, flowing silhouette and femininity. The Unique Selling Point of the brand is to combine top edge technology and high-end classic ethereal style to create a new blend of conceptual contemporary fashion. Linea Stenfors was born and raised in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. She has supervised, designed and made costumes for many large scaled productions within Swedish television, such as “Sweden’s got Talent” and “Hole in the Wall” among many other. At London College of Fashion Linea has specialised in effect- and creature- costume, to broaden her costume making skills even further. She is well experienced within costume design, pattern cutting and tailoring and Linea is particularly good with fabricating and sculpting costumes on to the body, she is also experienced with body casting and mould making. Evolution - The End of Man Final Major Project During the summer of 2011 Linea was working on a project with the Swedish Photographer Robert Eldrim, and she mentioned her will to create something meaningful and challenging that could contribute to awake peoples awareness. They began to develop an idea of a project that would challenge the issues of our society, the issues that makes our planet and species slowly die out. Linea has designed this story, with its characters, by carefully researching the different subjects targeted. The characters have developed during a long time, and each and every one of them has a certain symbolic meaning. The goal was to challenge specific problems in our society without pointing at any specific individual or group, which is why Linea developed her own version of the human evolution. This way the problems can be targeted while avoiding stepping on someones toes. She has made all of the costumes, masks, make-up and props, using her skills within costume making and tailoring combined with her skills within technical effects. Robert has been in charge of the photography, and making the images come to life by his Photoshop skills and creative ideas. He has placed these characters into their natural environments, and made the world develop along with the characters. BA (Hons) Costume for Performance

I believe my passion for original and innovative costumes has pushed me to challenge the boundaries of what is traditionally perceived as costume through my interaction with objects and landscape. My excitement for character and concept has led me to produce a range of works which draw influences from existing narratives and philosophical concepts. I remain enthusiastic about all areas of costume whether contemporary or historic and have a high appreciation for tailoring which I picked up from my time spent interning on Savile Row. My previous experience includes a tailoring internship at Gieves & Hawkes and Henry Pooles and wardrobe experience on Les Miserables as well as assisting in smaller theatre productions and on student films. My final major project drew its inspirations from the works of John Cage and Marcel Duchamp and was directed by a series of chance determined operations. It also considers the theory of the observer completing the work through its use of reflective surfaces. I worked with themes that were loosely selected from Samuel Beckets Waiting for Godot, most notably those of isolation, repetition, unknown and on-going. With this work I sought to explore the limitations of costume and its potential to additionally exist as props and set. The costumes ability to merge into its landscape pushed me to consider the scale of the work and its potential to keep growing and expanding.

Sometimes they’re seen as constricting and oppressive, but here, items are rearranged and used in a new context. Original purpose and old symbols of femininity are reinvented and disrupted. The outfits play on the norms and unspoken rules of how things should be constructed and what they should be made of. This collection was showed at Fashion For Show on the 28th of April 2011. It was the second fashion show I organized with the Fashion For Show collective. I was inspired by the construction of the ones that resembled cages. The idea of putting the body in a cage of hair later evolved into the prints I made on the garments. I am using synthetic hair in the accessories. I created these clothes and accessories for a fashion show, 'Fashion For Show', that I organized, held on the 27th of April at The Rag Factory, with 5 other fashion designers and 3 set designers. Together, we built the show from scratch; finding a venue, casting models, advertising the event and building the catwalk. We collaborated with make-up artists, hair stylists and DJ’s. The show was a triumph; between two shows the venue was filled with over 400 guests. A one year full time course focusing on fashion design with an emphasis on the design process; such as fashion illustration and photography, cultural studies, pattern cutting, sewing, fashion marketing, and styling for media publications. Aquiring creative and communication skills alongside technical ability using such programmes as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. 2008-2009: Cutters Academy in Gothenburg, Göteborg, Sweden. A one year full time course focusing on pattern cutting and sewing, where I learned how to make simple garments as well as more intricate ones. The course also covered drawing and designing, as well as gaining knowledge of textile materials, sewing details, fashion history, marketing, and business administration. This course also gave me experience in dealing with public relations and advertising.
